Tripp and Tyler
You had me at...
"Can I borrow a copy of your Nickelback CD?"
These guys do lots of openers for Northpoint Church in Alpharetta, GA, so we see a lot of them at our church. Funny stuff.

Christmas 2011
Christmas was so much fun! We had our first Christmas Eve service at our church. Children were included in the service and both my kids did a great job! Amelia Jayne slept through the whole thing and Xander was very calm and quiet. He did have to go potty twice during the one hour long service, though!
We enjoyed Christmas morning at our house, just the four of us. It was fabulous! Xander is at a great age for Christmas - he really understood the concept of presents this year and his excitement was contagious while he opened his presents and helped us open ours.
After spending the majority of Christmas day in our pajamas, we got dressed, loaded up the car and headed to Mimi's house. We spent the night there and had Christmas with Mimi, Papa, Erin, Nathan, Kaitlyn and Patrick. It was great! We really had a wonderful time. My favorite part was being together. :)
David took the week off which was so helpful. I love having him around the house. Becky came over for a couple of days so we could cook and bake together. She really ended up entertaining the children so I could do those things, but that was extremely helpful. Aunt B is awesome! She also watched the kids one night so David and I could go out on a date. It was much appreciated as we needed some downtime in the midst of the Christmas chaos! I have to admit that I almost fell asleep during the musical, though! We went to see Rock of Ages. This was one of my Christmas presents to David - I never would have gone to see it on my own. He was excited to see it, though, and I ended up having a really great time - I always do when I spend time alone with him. :)
On the 30th, we went back to Mocksville to David's parents' house. We spent the night there and had Christmas with them on the 31st. It was lots of fun :). Xander was front and center, being the only kid big enough to really get attention - although I'm sure Amelia Jayne will give him a run for his money next year.
Some family friends and my family came over to the Littles' house that night so we could ring in the new year. We played games, visited and just hung out. It was very nice. Low key, yet fun. My family and David's family came back together on the 1st to open more gifts and hang out. We had a great time!
This was such a memorable, albeit hectic (mainly because I was also taking care of a 2-month old during all of this! Nursing, napping, diaper changes, calming cries, etc.) Christmas! Bring on 2012!
