About AJ - One month

Written November 28

Amelia Jayne turned one month old on Thanksgiving day. She had her one month checkup at the doctor last Tuesday. Here were the results -
She now weighs 10 pounds 4 ounces (80th percentile)
She is now 22 1/4 inches long (88th percentile)
Her head circumference is 14 1/4 inches (29th percentile)

I looked back at Xander's - here were his one month results:
Weight - 9 pounds 9 ounces (44th percentile)
Length - 22 inches (68th percentile)
Head circumference - 15 1/2  inches (76th percentile)

It's interesting to me to compare the two.

AJ continues to do well. She is a good baby who rarely cries unless she's tired, hungry, or has gas. She's been particularly gassy today, but I think it's all the beans I ate yesterday! I'll remember that for the future...
We put her in her room for the first time last night. I'll do my best to keep her in her bed tonight since last night she ended up in bed with us a lot. I think I was just tired and didn't want to get up and down so much. She has slept for 5 hour stretches at night a few times, for which I am very thankful!
She's a great eater and has become much more efficient over the past week or so. She typically takes no more than 10 minutes on each side which is especially nice at night. I can feed and change her in 30 minutes.
Overall things are going really well!
